As my partner always says, energy bars taste 'healthy' and no branding can get past that, even as it includes the word 'brownie.' But to my surprise, these are quite taste for 'healthy', AND--big bonus for those of us with nut allergies--contains pumpkin but no nuts. A pleasant surprise, all around!

Easy on the stomach. Much sweeter than the vanilla flavour. The new formula has more protein than before which may be the reason for the extra sweetness. The flavour is okay but I prefer the vanilla. Made in a facility free from top allergens.
The actual gel is fine. Tastes good and goes down easily. However, the gel packaging does not open well, especially while running. It either tears partially and nothing comes out, or it tears completely and the whole top is ripped off
Found this at the Rotary Ride for Rescue and purchased a small pack of 12.

Really good and not like the rest
I have been really enjoying the Muir Energy gels. The flavour is great. The simple ingredient list is awesome. I like that they are different from most gels on the market. Instead of being only carbs it also contains some protein which I find works well for me, especially for longer runs.

I like the compact high carb package. The flavour is not sticky or gross. Its very basic and good as long as the thick texture doesn't put you off. I find it better than most of the gels I've tried
